The celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Appomattox Chapter of the Walker-Woolridge Family Reunion is scheduled July 15-17 in Appomattox. Friends, family and old school mates are invited to join in this 50th celebration of togetherness. The festivities begin Friday at 3 p.m. for a meet and greet at the Appomattox Inn and Suites located at 447 Old Courthouse Road, Appomattox. Saturday’s schedule starts at Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center located at 1267 4-H Camp Rd. Appomattox with a picnic from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. The National Meeting will be held at the Appomattox Inn and Suites and begins at 4:30 p.m. with the banquet and dinner following from 6 p.m.-midnight. Sunday’s buffet breakfast, also at the Appomattox Inn and Suites, begins at 8 a.m. The fee for the weekend event is $80 or $40 per person.
