AMELIA — Police in Amelia are investigating the death of a 19-year-old Richmond woman.

“On Wednesday, May 4 … a black female was found dead in Amelia County. The victim was found beside a private driveway in the 17000 block of Patrick Henry Highway. The victim has been identified as Shy’Nisha M. Walker, 19, of Richmond,” the release stated.

“Amelia investigators are continuing to follow up on leads that have been gathered to date. The Amelia Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone who may have information to contact this office at (804) 561-2118 or the Amelia Crime Solvers at (804) 561-5200.”
