“Scottsville Awakens: A Galactic Celebration” will be held on Saturday from noon–9 p.m. For a day of Star Wars-themed fun, be sure to come dressed accordingly, because you won’t want to miss out on the costume contest prizes.

The festival starts at noon.

At 1, p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., a Saber Force Academy Interactive Demo will be held at SCAN Art Center (Victory Hall). The line-up for costume sidewalk parade at will be at 3:30 p.m. at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home. The “Scottsville Awakens” Costume Contest will be held at Canal Basin Square will be at 4 p.m. (prizes for best adult, child and pet costume) and the movie screening of “The Force Awakens” at SCAN Art Center (Victory Hall) at 7 p.m.
