Rhew to lead middle school

Cameron Rhew has been named head of middle school at Fuqua School.

According to a press release from the school, she will join the administrative team next school year. Rhew previously worked at New Life Schools in Cumberland, teaching grades 6-12 in English, American history and fine arts. 

She also taught drama, piano lessons and worship band. 

Rhew has pastoral credentials in counseling and teaching from Global University, according to the release.

“She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Longwood University with a major in History and Secondary Education Concentration and is currently working on her Master’s in Education Degree at Liberty University in Learning and Leadership. 

“Working alongside her husband as youth pastor at New Life Church, Mrs. Rhew strives to inspire local youth to develop their gifts. She also has been a counselor at Military Personnel Services working with new soldiers to prepare them for basic training,” the release stated.

Rhew is married to Jonathan Rhew and they have one son, Ayden, who will attend Fuqua.
