Outdoor Art Show winners announced

FARMVILLE — The winners of the 41st Outdoor Arts Show at the Heart of Virginia Festival have been announced.

Andew Lonon’s “Conjuremap” relief sculpture received Best in Show.

In the oil and acrylic category, first place went to Lee Morrison’s “Retired Rabbit Hunter,” second place went to William Clark’s “Piano Teacher,” while third went to Mark Prieto’s “Evelyn Going Home.”

In the watercolor category, first place went to Nancy Lockwood’s “Yes, I can,” second went to Richard Gross’ “Gourds,” and third place went to U.C. Burgess’ “Landscapes.”

In the photography category, first place went to Jennifer Byrne. Second went to Thomas Green, while third went to PhotoMo Photography,

In jewelry, first place went to Jennifer Paxton, second went to Judith Ligon and third went to Josie Boyer. In the pottery category, first place went to Emily Vandermey, second went to Shawn Reifman’ and third went to Nick Listo.

Pete Johnson took first place in woodwork.

In the sculpture category, Andrew Lonon won first, second place went to June Martin and third place went to Jimmy Houston.               

In mixed media, first place went to Marianne Dennison while Kathryn DeMarco took second.
