MY START: I was about 8 years old, and my sister played. She’s two years older than I am, and she was playing in one of her games, and I just sat on the sidelines watching. And then they ended up being a player short, and so their coach was like, “Jamie, come play.”

MY INSPIRATION: I got into travel ball when I was about 11, and Carly’s dad, actually Carly Adams, she’s on this (Longwood) team as well, her dad was our coach, and he really inspired me to be the best that I can be and really helped me get there and get here to college.

FAVORITE SPORTS MOVIE: “Remember the Titans,” definitely.

MY TEAM: We’re passionate. We’re very passionate. We definitely want another ring this year. We come out at least an hour early before every practice and work on our game a little bit before practice starts.
