Pet Chickens of Virginia is a statewide organization that holds small-animal swaps all over the state. The Farmville event is held in the STEPS parking lot on the second Saturday of each month. All are welcome to come bring their small animals — chickens, rabbits, ducks, goats and pigs — to sell or trade. There is no fee to set up. This event is held during the Heart of Virginia Farmers Market hours every Saturday in the STEPS parking lot from 8 a.m.-noon.
