Central Virginia Christian School raised $11,000 for the scholarship fund on April 29 with “Capes for a Cause.” They came to school dressed as super heroes. Students in grades pre-K-3 competed in various obstacle course activities, and older students competed in a 3-mile walk/run through Dillwyn. The top five boys in the 3-mile race were, from left, top photo, Lakkun Mina, fifth place; Christopher Espinoza, fourth place; Ben Dorrier, third place; Robert Raymond, second place; and Nathan Brickhill, first place. Piper Scialdo, second photo, first in the fundraiser event, is pictured competing in an obstacle course as “Super Piper.”
