Astronomy Day event at High Bridge

High Bridge Trail State Park will observe International Astronomy Day on Saturday, by offering visitors an opportunity to learn about the night sky.  Come to the bridge between 9-10:30 p.m. for an astronomy program presented by Friends Group members Bruce and Karen Bellenir. The moon in its first quarter will be a beautiful sight, but it won’t overpower other night sky objects the way fuller phases do.

High Bridge Trail State Park’s astronomy events are held near the center of High Bridge where the view of the sky is unobstructed. This location is approximately 1.25 miles from the River Road parking area and a half mile from the newly opened Camp Paradise parking area off Aspen Hill Road.
