RICHMOND — Hospice Partners of America LLC will purchase the parent firm of Hospice of Central Virginia.

According to a news release, the sale of American Hospice Management Holdings LLC to Hospice Partners of America LLC was approved late last week.

The Richmond-based Hospice of Central Virginia serves Buckingham, Cumberland and Prince Edward counties and has an office in Farmville.

Weeks ago, American Hospice Management Holdings filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware.

The Farmville office is located at 202 Clark St.
