Willis G. Meadows, 49, of Cumberland passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nellie J. Meadows, two sisters, Ann Sykes and Patsy Pointer and niece, Jessica Thompson.

Mr. Meadows was the Animal Control Officer for Cumberland County.

He is survived by three sisters, Marie Hardiek and husband, Steve of Illinois, Mae Meadows of Cumberland and Jean Beazley of Louisa; two brothers, Ray and wife, Patty of Caroline County and Walter and wife, Phyllis of Java; his girlfriend, Sharon Layman of Cumberland and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be at Fitzgerald Baptist Church, Cumberland, on Friday, April 15 at 2 p.m. There will be a spreading of his ashes at the river at 4 p.m.
