William Thomas Bryant

William Thomas Bryant, 89, of Buckingham, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, April 24, 2016 after a battle for several years with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born April 16, 1927 in Buckingham County, a son of the late Luther Harry and Bessie Bryant.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruby Horn Bryant; three children, Nancy Randolph (W.T.) of Dillwyn, William Randolph Bryant (Sheri) of Buckingham and Lisa B. Wright (F.I.) of Albemarle; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.
Throughout his life, William was dedicated to his family whom he loved dearly. He was known for his kind, generous nature and sharing his faith in God with all he met. He was a long time member of Goldmine Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served as a deacon and elder.
William proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and received an Honorable Discharge.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30 at 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m.
