Audiences will soar over red rock canyons and hurtle down steep mountain peaks in “National Parks Adventure” arriving in The Dome at the Science Museum of Virginia in Richmond on Saturday.

Created by MacGillivray Freeman Films, the stunning giant screen movie takes guests on the ultimate off-trail adventure into America’s untamed wilderness. Moviegoers will journey alongside modern-day explorers into the great outdoors as they hike, climb, bike and ski their way across some of the country’s most beautiful and protected places — including Yellowstone, Glacier, Yosemite and Arches National Parks.

“There are 408 national parks in our country that many families have not been able to explore,” two-time Academy Award®-nominated director Greg MacGillivray said. “Our hope is that ‘National Parks Adventure’ will encourage audiences to discover the beauty and sanctuary of these American treasures, which belong to every one of us.”
