Mary Lula Jordan Allen, 95, of Prospect, died Monday, April 11, 2016 in Farmville. She was born March 7, 1922 to Wheeler and Lucy Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Malcom.

Ms. Allen is survived by a daughter, Vera Ellen Allen of Farmville; a son, Larry J. Allen and his wife, Connie of Prospect; a grandson, Charles A. Allen and his wife, Ellen; two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Avery; a sister, Alice J. Campbell; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Jordan and Lorene Roberts.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, April 13 in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home with interment in the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.
