PRINCE EDWARD — A 30-year-old Rice man is charged in connection with shooting at an occupied vehicle.
Torin Donte Devon Marshall is charged with shooting or throwing missiles at an occupied vehicle, reckless handling of a firearm and brandishing a firearm, according to the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office.
Marshall was charged on April 19.
“We got a call on April 16 at approximately 10:15 p.m. to Bowen Court in Rice,” said Maj. David Wilmoth. The call was for shots fired, he said.
“Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with Mr. Marshall. He indicated to the deputies that a vehicle had pulled into his yard, and he had fired multiple rounds at the vehicle.”
The investigation is ongoing, he said. No one was injured when the vehicle was struck several times, Wilmoth said.
