A 29-year-old Farmville man has been sentenced to one year in jail after failing to comply with his good behavior condition from a previous sentence connected to a 2011 conviction for shooting into a dwelling.
James Lewis Jenkins was sentenced in Lunenburg Circuit Court recently, according to Commonwealth’s Attorney Robert Clement.
“Jenkins is also facing significant incarceration in Prince Edward County on new charges of distribution of a schedule II controlled substance, malicious wounding, assault and battery of a family member, third offense, obstruction of justice, stalking and assault and battery,” Clement said.
The remaining portion of Jenkins’ 2011 suspended sentence is still subject to the outstanding conditions of the previous sentencing order, including good behavior, warrantless searches, no contact and staying out of Lunenburg County, according to Clement.
