H-SC tennis falls 8-1 to Bridgewater

Hampden-Sydney tennis fell 8-1 to Bridgewater on Tuesday afternoon. The Tigers competed throughout the entirety of the contest, coming up just short in several matches.
The team of Trent Singleton (Richmond/Douglas S. Freeman) and Harrison Stone (Durham, N.C./Voyager) notched an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles.
Singleton came up just short in the No. 1 singles flight, 6-4, 6-2. Andrew Loving (Charlottesville/Western Albemarle) lost a hard-fought match at No. 3, going 6-3, 6-3. Nathan Horvit (Columbia, Mo./Rock Bridge) nearly won the first set at the No. 5 spot, but succumbed 7-5, 6-3.
Hampden-Sydney completes their non-conference schedule on Wednesday as they travel to Averett University for a 4 p.m. match.
