H-SC lacrosse topples Lynchburg 13-9

Hampden-Sydney lacrosse scored nine of the game’s 11 goals spanning the 7:10 mark of the second quarter until 2:02 left in the third to defeat Lynchburg College 13-9 in ODAC action on Saturday.

Defensive seniors Thomas Passenant (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Country Day), Kyle Fraser (Salem/North Cross) and Aaron Hales (Greensboro, N.C./Grimsley) keyed an impressive defensive effort that limited All-Americans Austin Stewart and Aaron Murphy to just four goals.

Koferl, a senior, stepped up to the plate in a big way with three goals and an assist. Connor Pool (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Catholic) and Ian Levin (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) each contributed two goals and an assist. Mitch Renfrow (Charlotte, NC/Providence Day) posted 11 saves.
