Spring revival set at Maranatha

Barry Miles, Jane Cooke and her grandson Sam Givens, all of Cumberland, along with Barry’s cousin Cheryl Canipe, of Henrico, enjoyed lunch at Teresa’s Place, Dillwyn on Thursday.

Fitzgerald Baptist Church of Cumberland, partnering with Central Virginia Food Bank Feed More Program of Richmond, will hold a food distribution on Monday at noon  at Southworth Power & Equipment located, 1273 Anderson Hwy., Cumberland.

Maranatha Baptist Church, 2204 Tuggle Road, Farmville, will hold its annual spring revival Sunday through Wednesday with Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. with special music followed by morning worship at 11 a.m. Mike McClary, of Good Samaritan Ministries of Richmond, will be guest speaker. Sunday night service starts at 6 p.m.; Monday through Wednesday services with special music each night will begin at 7 p.m.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my son Barry Miles and wife Linda and my family members, friends and neighbors, and church family at Hatcher Baptist Church of Cumberland who honored my 80th birthday in the fellowship hall on Sunday. A large crowd attended and enjoyed great food, fun and fellowship.
