Sophomore Crystina Kertsos of the Longwood women’s golf team recorded her first career top-25 finish, as the Lancers concluded play at the Low Country Intercollegiate Sunday at the Moss Creek Golf Club.
Kertsos carded a final round eight-over 80 on day two to finish 21st overall and complete her first career top-25 finish. Her finish is her second career top-30 finish, bettering her t-28 at the Chesapeake Bay Invitational played in the fall at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.
Longwood finished the tournament with scores of 322-319 — 641 (+65) and finish 12th overall.
Bethune-Cookman (611; +35) took home the team title.
Courtney Tolton carded the low round of the day for the Lancers with a six-over 78 to finish just outside the top-30 and tied for 33rd overall in the field of 93 golfers, as she improved two shots from Saturday’s round.
Longwood will return on March 28-29 at the William & Mary/Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate, which will be played at Kingsmill Resort River Course.
