AKA Sorority ‘Goes Red’ for heart disease

The Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.,  recently  participated  in the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day to raise awareness in the fight against heart disease in women.

The sorority partnered with the Lunenburg Correctional Center Staff in Victoria to promote this lifesaving event. The sorority has been a longtime partner with AKA with its “Pink Goes Red for Heart Day.”

Donations will go directly to the American Heart Association for research, education and public awareness efforts to combat heart disease in women.
