PRINCE EDWARD — The Prince Edward County School Board has agreed to increase prices for school breakfasts and lunches for the next school year.

Breakfast prices will be increased by 25 cents and lunches will see an increase of 15 cents.

Breakfast currently costs $1, while lunch costs $2.10.

The board said the increase was needed to help balance the budget due to the rising expenditures.

The price of school breakfasts have not been increased since the 2010-11 school year.
