Patricia Fillius Feniello, 62, of Meherrin, passed away Tuesday, Feburary 9, 2016.  She was born in Mt Holly, New Jersey on October 15, 1953.  She succumbed to cancer after a 10-year long battle.

She worked as a Senior lab technician at VCU Southside Community Hospital in South Hill while running her farm in Meherrin. A lifelong lover of animals she trained and showed rottweilers in many competitions. She was also an equestrian and participated in shows, including the Devon horse show in Pennsylvania. Because of her love for animals and animal welfare her later interest turned to dog and exotic bird rescues. Along with her partner Mark Duggar she ran Serenity Farm Heritage Birds and Angel Wings Avian Rescue.

She is survived by her sisters, Regina Dea of  Florida and Shirley Smith of Pennsylvania; her niece, Kelly Gartland and a great-nephew, William. Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Regina Fillius.
