Farmville Town Councilman Donald L. Hunter has announced his candidacy seeking re-election representing Ward D.

“I have served on the Farmville Town Council for over 11 years and consider it an honor to represent Ward D and this town,” Hunter said.

“During my tenure on council, the town has experienced tremendous growth and development, (of) which I am proud to be a part of.”

Hunter said he has worked hard to promote positive relationships among fellow council members and the community.

“My focus has been and always will be serving the citizens of this community, recreation for the youth and the future development of the Town of Farmville,” he said.

Hunter said he appreciates the support of the citizens in the previous years and if re-elected to the council, he will continue to serve with the respect and dedication the position deserves.

The election is May 3.
