Christian and Reid set the bar high

Two recently retired school board members from Buckingham and Cumberland counties set the example by which all representatives should serve their constituents in the United States. Buckingham’s David Christian, right, and Cumberland’s George Reid, saw sweeping changes in instruction and administration during their long tenures of public service. The two saw the contentious implementation of standardized SOL learning, numerous capital improvement projects — even new school buildings and the closure of others, and other big changes that impacted students, staff and the entire county. We thank both men for their hard work and dedication to our youth. (Send ‘Way to Go’ photos with names and a description to waytogo@farmvilleherald.com.)
