Betty Shapiro, of Buckingham, was named the grand prize winner of The Farmville Herald’s first annual photo calendar. Shapiro’s photo of her grandson eating a piece of watermelon appeared on the front cover of the calendar, which is comprised of locally submitted photos. Shapiro won $250 for her entry.
