Dorothy Elizabeth Southall Womack, 91, of Pamplin, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016. She was born on January 24, 1924 to the late Lawrence and Lena Southall. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George H. Womack.

She is survived by two sons, Henry E. Womack (Sheila) and George W. Womack; three grandchildren, Thomas, “Jessica”, Will, Jennifer and a great-grandchild, George Clay Womack.

Mrs. Womack was a member of the Just-A-Mere Club, VFW Auxiliary and the Retired Teachers Association. She taught school at different schools but finished at Prince Edward Academy. She was a volunteer at Southside Hospital for ten years and a lifetime member of Buffalo Presbyterian Church.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 7 at Buffalo Presbyterian Church with interment in Westview Cemetery in Farmville.
