PRINCE EDWARD — A 43-year-old Farmville man will spend two years in prison after pleading guilty to four counts of distributing marijuana in the presence of children.
According to Prince Edward Commonwealth’s Attorney James Ennis, Earl Preston Stantliff pled guilty to four counts of distribution of more than a half ounce but not more than five pounds of marijuana and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor in Prince Edward Circuit Court on Dec. 7.
Ennis said Stantliff was not prosecuted on three charges of conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
In addition to a suspended prison sentence, he was ordered with 15 years of good behavior and two years of supervised probation after his release from prison.
“He was selling marijuana,” Ennis said, “and had two juveniles with him when he did it. And involved them.”
