Pearl Christian Garrett, surrounded by her family, passed peacefully Tuesday, November 24, 2015.  She was born February 18, 1925 in Dillwyn, a daughter of the late Allen Floyd and Fannie Banton Christian.  Pearl was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Kendrick Garrett.

She is survived by her children, Linda G. Crews and her husband, Johnny and William G. Garrett and his wife, Ada; four grandchildren, Robbie Crews and his wife, Frieda, Vanessa Sharpe and her husband, Blake, Edie Crews and Christy Wharam and her husband, Justin; eight great-grandchildren, Brandy, Ashley, Ryan, Brooke, Sierra, John Robert and Michael.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Artie Christian and her brother, Mitchell Christian.

A funeral service was held November 28 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
