Lessons and carols at Farmville Presbyterian

- Decorated for the Christmas season, Farmville Presbyterian Church welcomes the community to the Festival of Lessons and Carols.
A Festival of Lessons and Carols featuring the church’s six honorary choral scholars will be presented by the Farmville Presbyterian Church Choir on Sunday at 11 a.m. Special musical will be intertwined with scripture readings and carols sung by the congregation.
Dr. Lee Roesti, director of music, explained that the program tells the story of God’s work in the world beginning with creation and culminating in the birth of Jesus with “Oh Little Town of Bethlehem.”
“We invite the entire Farmville community to come, sing, pray, listen and reflect on the beauty of this season and where it points us.” Dr. Tom Robinson, pastor, said.
Soloists are Matthew Lilly, Laura Millon, Melissa Tussing, Jordon Russnow, Cory Anderson and Jared Dawdy. Sally Mayton will preside at the organ while Roesti provides piano accompaniment and direction. Handbells will also be featured.
