The Heart of Virginia Community Band will present a free Christmas Concert at Molnar Recital Hall, Wygal Hall, Longwood University, on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Along with the program the band the program will feature the Holiday Youth Chorus performing popular music of the season, both secular and non-secular.

Founded on Feb. 3, 2014, Heart of Virginia Community Band provides an opportunity for musicians to play after high school. Currently the band has musicians from Farmville, Rice, Burkeville, Crewe, Appomattox, Chase City, Keysville and Halifax. To learn more, visit http://heartofvacommunityband.org
