Eddie Lee Nelson Sr., 83, of Green Bay, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015. He was the last of eight siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ethel Nelson and a daughter, Rita Marie Nelson Shumaker.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Nelson Hawkins (Clarence) of Dinwiddie, Helen Nelson Earnshaw (Andrew) of Green Bay, and Eddie Lee Nelson Jr. (Betty) of Dinwiddie; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 10 from 6-8 p.m. at the home of Helen Earnshaw in Green Bay.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice.
