Communications cache training is Friday and Saturday
FARMVILLE — The Virginia Communications Cache will conduct its quarterly training in Farmville and Prince Edward on Friday and Saturday.
According to Prince Edward Assistant County Administrator and Emergency Management Coordinator Sarah Elam Puckett, the cache will pre-plan “for future events that take place in the county and town.”
Residents can expect a large presence of cache team members on both days, she said.
According to the cache’s website, “The Commonwealth’s radio cache is available to support public safety communications needs within the Commonwealth of Virginia for emergency incidents or scheduled events. A request for activation of one or more radio cache units is initiated with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM).”
