On Oct. 23, the Friends of the Farmville-Prince Edward Community Library held its Champagne and Chocolate Gala fundraiser.
The weather was picture perfect with a nearly full moon shining above the gala attendees who were able to enjoy the view from the library’s patio overlooking Wilck’s Lake.
Those attending the gala were treated to champagne and chocolates provided by Aramark, an event sponsor. Rochette’s Florist, another sponsor, provided the library with colorful bouquets. Music was provided by Andrew McEvoy, classical guitarist.
Llewellyn Watson sponsored the music. Photography was provided by Zachary McKinney Photography.
By all measures, the event was a great success. The proceeds from ticket sales and other donations will be directed to the Central Virginia Regional Library Endowment Fund.
This fund is used to purchase equipment and other needed items for the libraries within the Central Virginia Regional Library system.
