Central Virginia Christian School presents ‘A Star is Born’

Central Virginia Christian School recently presented “A Star is Born” featuring 156 elementary and middle school students from CVCS.

The production, held in Longwood’s Jarman Auditorium, was sold out with over 1,000 in attendance. Each class performed for the audience and judges to earn “The Superstar” title. In the end, the judges and performers realize that there is only one “Super Star”  — Jesus Christ.

The Astaires danced their way toward the Super Star title. Other groups included Tropical Vibes (first grade), Little Dixie (second grade), Youthful Praise (third grade), The Originals (fourth grade), Out of this World (fifth grade), and Da’Truth (middle school/Pre-k/k). The show concluded with “Joyful, Joyful” with soloist Kaleigh Hackett, signer Elexis Travis, soloist Dreygan Phillips and gymnast Laurel Logan and all 156 children in white and red choir robes filling the auditorium.
