Centra cancer center opens Trees of Hope exhibit

LYNCHBURG — The Centra Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center will transform into a winter wonderland this month during the Trees of Hope display.

Beautifully decorated and themed trees will line the inside of the cancer center, according to a press release.

“The Trees of Hope will be available for public viewing throughout the weekdays. An open house celebration on Sunday … will feature holiday music, light refreshments and a Christmas photo booth from 1 to 5 p.m.,” the release states.

Proceeds from the Trees of Hope benefit the Cancer Patient Support Fund, which assists area patients in need of immediate financial help while battling cancer. The community-based fund is supported by the Centra Foundation.
