The Prince Edward County School Board recognized Diamond Welton-Boxley, left, at the December school board meeting. Diamond signed a National Letter of Intent to play women’s volleyball at Virginia Commonwealth University. She will receive a full athletic scholarship and plans to enroll at VCU in January. Diamond played varsity volleyball for Prince Edward for four years, during which she was named James River District Player of the Year, Quad Rivers Player of the Year and All-Region 2A East. She is the daughter of Danielle and Lamont Boxley, of Pamplin. Boxley is congratulated by PECPS Division Superintendent Dr. David Smith.
