Authorities seek tips in residential break-in

PRINCE EDWARD — The Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office is seeking clues about a residential breaking and entering reported on Dec. 3 in the 9000 block of Prince Edward Highway, U.S. Route 460.
Maj. David Wilmoth said the sheriff’s office received a call at about 10:50 a.m. for a suspicious person on U.S. Route 460.
He said sheriff’s deputies spoke with a complainant who “noticed two … males run out from the neighbor’s house. [We] conducted an investigation and found that the back window of that house has been broken into.”
Wilmoth said police spoke to a “person of interest” and said the case remains under investigation.
Nothing was taken from the home, he said.
