On Sunday, Dec. 13, Santa Claus will make a special appearance at Bear Creek Hall during a pancake supper.

Visitors to the park will drive their car through the park’s campground to experience a wonderland of lights and popular seasonal figures as well.

The pancake supper is free. Donations are accepted, and proceeds will benefit the Friends of Bear Creek Lake State Park. 

A $4 event fee applies each day, or bring a new toy to get in free.

The toys will be donated to the Cumberland Christmas Mother.

Virginia State Parks’ Friend Groups build and maintain trails, help staff visitor centers, work on educational outreach programs and raise funds for park projects and facilities.
