BUCKINGHAM — Buckingham Sheriff William G. “Billy” Kidd Jr. has been appointed to the Virginia Sheriff’s Association Board of Directors.

Kidd will represent the counties and cities in region four, which includes Albemarle, Augusta, Buckingham, Charlottesville, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson, Rockingham, Staunton and Waynesboro.

Kidd, who was re-elected without opposition on Nov. 3,  is one of 20 board members.
