On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. residents will have a chance to purchase unique creations by local artists. Central Virginia Arts, a group of artists and art appreciators, is sponsoring the Holiday Art Market at the Farmer’s Market Building at 213 North St. in Farmville.

There was a time when only the wealthy could afford original art. Today almost anyone can own an art piece to be enjoyed, used or worn throughout the year. Original art and fine crafts bring satisfaction to both the owner and gift receiver.
