RICHMOND — The Virginia Association of Realtors (VAR), through its Realtors Political Action Committee of Virginia (RPAC), has endorsed several local candidates seeking positions in the state legislature.

Republican candidates Matt Fariss in the 59th House District, James Edmunds in the 60th House District, Tommy Wright in the 61st House District and Tom Garrett in the 22nd Senate District were all endorsed Wednesday, according to a VAR press release.

“Each of these candidates has demonstrated their commitment to supporting policies that we feel will be beneficial to our members, consumers and property owners throughout Virginia,” said VAR 2015 President Deborah Baisden. “These candidates understand how important the real estate market is to Virginia’s economic well-being. Our members support these candidates because they support a growing real estate market and strong property rights,” she said.

The election is Nov. 3.
