Longwood University has adjusted the weekend schedule for Oktoberfest due to the forecasted heavy rain.

According to Longwood spokesman Matt McWilliams, Thursday’s Alzheimer’s Walk will happen as scheduled. Registration begins at 4 p.m. and the walk starts at 5 p.m. Color Wars, the picnic dinner and booths are moved to Oct. 23. The Battle of the Bands is moved to Oct. 30. On Saturday, the parade, student performers, caricature, photo booth, sand art and scheduled bands will be moved inside to Willett Hall.

An updated schedule follows: 12 noon-12:20 p.m. Parade, Spirit Leader and Klown dance; 12:20-2:15 p.m. Student entertainment; 1-5 p.m. Photo Booth, Caricature Artist, Connect 4; 2:20-3:15 p.m. Feenies; 3:15-4:15 p.m. Dave Matthew’s tribute band; 4:30-5:30 p.m. Charlie Worhsam; 5:45-6:30 p.m. Post Malone;  6:30-8 p.m. DJ Joel Cruz and 8:15-9:45 p.m. Aer.
