Members of the Friends of the Appomattox River (FAR) canoe club held a Moonlight Paddle on Sandy River Reservoir to observe the “Blue Moon.” The paddle, which took place July 31, included 11 canoes and kayaks carrying 20 members of FAR. Members watched from the middle of the lake as the full moon rose above the treetops leaving a glowing reflection across the lake.
