Glenmore resident Harry W. Bryant Jr. has announced his candidacy for the District Five seat on the Buckingham County Board of Supervisors.
Bryant — an independent candidate — faces Quentin Yoder, a Republican, in the Nov. 3 election.
“Harry Bryant is a lifelong Buckingham County resident, a charter member of the Glenmore Fire Dept., Glenmore Rescue Squad, a former member of the Tax Equalization Board and an active member of Glenmore Methodist Church,” he said in a statement.
Bryant said that he believes in the motto of “A dollar’s worth for a dollar spent.”
“As a fiscal conservative, I strongly believe our county government should be run like a business. Every one of your hard-earned tax dollars should be spent carefully and wisely, on a cost-benefit basis,” Bryant said.
