Italia Gregory, of Drakes Branch, has joined the Farmville Newsmedia LLC staff as a reporter for The Farmville Herald.

“I’m excited to join the staff, and I look forward to bringing quality coverage to our readers,” Gregory said. “I look forward to being a part of the Farmville Newsmedia team and making an impact

through community journalism,” she said.

Gregory will also aid the news staff at The Charlotte Gazette and The Kenbridge-Victoria Dispatch.

The 26-year-old attended Randolph-Henry High School and graduated in 2007 before attending Longwood University. She received her bachelor of arts in communication studies in 2012 from Longwood and most recently earned her master of arts in human services counseling from Liberty University this year.

Gregory has worked as a journalist for the past three years at The Southside Messenger in Keysville.
