Docia “Dot” Toney Shumaker, 91, of The Woodlands in Farmville, died Sunday, September 6, 2015.  She was born September 14, 1923 in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late John Lee and Bessie Worsham Toney.  She was the widow of Percy Dewey Shumaker.

She is survived by two nephews, John Lee Toney of Howardsville and E. E. Talbott Jr. of Dillwyn and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, September 8 at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Dillwyn Town Cemetery.
