Vows exchanged

The marriage of Casey Ashlin Meadows, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Meadows, of Farmville, to Nicholas Ryan Tharpe, son of Rita B. Robinette and the late R. Darrell Tharpe, of Drakes Branch, took place on Saturday, August 8, at Roxabel in Charlotte Court House.
The brides’ grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Philbeck, of Farmville, and Mrs. Faye M. Weis and the late Billy M. Meadows, of Meherrin. Grandparents of the groom are Mrs. Gracie Tharpe and the late Richard “Pete” Tharpe, of Drakes Branch, and the late John Baughn and Faye Baughn.
Pastor Timothy Tharpe, cousin of the groom, officiated the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Billy M. Meadows Jr.
Ashli Gregory and Chelsea Dandridge were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Taylor Crafton, cousin of the bride, Megan Dunn, cousin of the groom, Heather Alderman, Madeline Buczek, Bobbi Newcomb and Toni Lynn Garza.
Tyler, “T.J.” Tharpe was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Cody Meadows, brother of the bride, Chuck Dunn, cousin of the groom, J.J. Newcomb, Derek Adams, Tony Black, Kevan Roark and Stogie Stowe.
A poem was read by Megan Thomas. Mistresses of ceremonies were Karen Newman, Vanessa Sharpe and Julie Simon.
Dinner and the reception took place at Roxabel immediately following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon to Orlando, Fla., the couple will reside in Drakes Branch.
