Two groups of teachers from all over the country as well as the state of Virginia visited the R.R. Moton Museum as a part of their study of the Brown v. Board decisions and desegregation in the state of Virginia. The Summer Scholars received a tour of the galleries and the Tar Paper Exhibit with background information from Director Justin Reid and Longwood professor Dr. Larissa Fergeson. The Rev. J. Samuel Williams shared his story as a part of the morning lecture. The group completed a bus/walking tour of other historical sites as well. Pictured is the group from Week 1 that included Pamela Venable, former fifth grade English teacher from Prince Edward County Middle School.
