Dale and Kathy Midkiff, of Dillwyn, would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary G. Midkiff, of Dillwyn, to Austin C. Phillips, of Gladstone, son of David and Robyn Phillips, of Gladstone.

Ms. Midkiff is a student in the nursing program at Southside Virginia Community College.

Mr. Phillips is employed by Midkiff Timber.

A September 26 wedding is planned at the Midkiff residence.
